1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Restomod Upgrades at V8 Speed and Resto Shop V8TV

This clean 1967 Chevy II Nova came to the V8 Speed and Resto Shop in need of some mechanical help, and our crew performed a lot of upgrades and repairs to this cool yellow cruiser.

The Chevy II Nova was targeting other smaller entries into the American car market, and by 1967, the car’s capabilities expanded to offer a 327 V8 and a Super Sport package. This one had a V8 that was beginning to knock, so the V8 crew installed a new Fast Times Motorworks built 361 cubic inch Chevy short block (4.065” bore by 3.048” stroke) for some added power. The engine is topped with AFR heads and an aluminum intake manifold, and is fed by a FiTech EFI system for smooth, reliable operation.

Behind the new engine is a 4-speed Muncie manual transmission, with a Hurst shift handle that pokes out of the floor, as this is a bench-seat 4-speed with no console. It is basic, and cool!

The suspension has been lowered with parts from CPP, but the car retains its manual steering and brake systems. The oversize Chevy Rally wheels look great against the Butternut Yellow paint. It’s a cool restomod that loves the road!

If you’ve got a Nova that needs some love, we’re happy to chat about it! You can reach us at www.v8speedshop.com today.
