1984 Olds Cutlass restoration at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop

A Special, Long-Owned Survivor

This 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is a car that is becoming a great restoration candidate. This car has a very cool story in the fact that it is still owned by the man who bought it new, and he has been able to enjoy the car for many years. There have been many trends for mid-1980s General Motors G body cars like this, but the owner resisted, and has kept the car true to its stock form in most respects.

Bringing the Classic to the Shop

The owner brought the car to us at the V8 Speed and Resto shop asking about some paint work. The car had suffered some hail damage and the original two tone paint job was starting to fade. He also reported that he did not like the wing on the deck lid, and that the stock 3.8 liter V6 engine was underpowered.

The Transformation Project Begins

Follow along as our team fixes the damage, repaints the car, and ditches the anemic 3.8 in favor of a 400 hp Holley Terminator EFI YearOne Power Crate engine as well as a myriad of other upgrades.
