This 1957 Chevrolet had been in it’s owners family for many many years. They contacted us about performing a partial restoration, with the goal of making the car solid and safe to drive but without an extensive total restoration. This meant that they did not want an exterior repaint if possible, as they plan to drive the car and enjoy it with family and not worry about scratching up a show-quality paint finish.
When we picked up the car, it was literally stored in a barn.
It was powered by a 396 V8 and a four-speed transmission was installed back in the day. However, the car had not run in many years and was needing mechanical repair. The brakes did not work and the wiring was deteriorated.
