I’ve never heard of any issues with the one-wire alts. They worked fine in the OEM applications back in the day. Not sure what they are using in new cars now. I’ll read the tech info you posted, but my question now is: aren’t the one-wire alts internally regulated? And just use the one wire instead of the 4 needed for the external reg?
