I think it’s as simple as connecting the T2 terminal on the alternator to the battery + or a junction block where other accessories are fed. If sent to the battery + terminal, the T2 terminal will see the voltage at the battery and control the regulator accordingly. The T1 terminal would go back to your GEN light in the dash to signal a problem.
