As you may know the V6 Taurus fan moves a LOT of air and is well thought of for those stuffing big motors into little bays. It is a 2 speed fan. Draws a lot of amps.

There are all kinds of aftermarket controllers available and a lot of discussion on what is best. IMHO if one can use an OEM part for an application do it. Most OEM parts are over engineered and last the life of the vehicle.

The BMW sender has 3 wires and available in 2 temp ranges. It has 14MM threads so most of us already have a ‘tap.’ I used a spark plug thread chaser to thread the boss on the thermostat housing.

Then to the Volvo relay and to the fan. Easy to wire and looks OEM.
