This 1967 Camaro nicknamed “Shadow” came into the V8 Speed & Resto Shop as seen in this photo, and our crew jumped at the chance to straighten-out the previous repairs, crash, and rust damage to transform this Camaro back into a street hero.

This car arrived in our shop having already been media blasted and sprayed with a red oxide primer. This gave us an opportunity to examine the condition of the body shell.

Starting in the front, the firewall had various dimples and dents, and evidence of previous repair work. We were going to close unnecessary holes, and repair the damage.

Look in pretty good shape from what I can see. How many cars can you handle at one time in your shop Kevin? What is the size of your workforce?

It looks ok so far… we’ll be exposing the ugly on this project. Not to worry, it all turns out sweet in the end!

We currently have 10 people on staff, and 15-16 customer cars in our possession. We’re very thankful and fortunate to be busy!

It can be a very difficult business trying to meet customers expectations while trying to stay on budget with these old cars. Having what you have is definitely a credit to you and your team and the quality of your builds.
