I have heard it said that the 12 bolt rear end in a 1967 Chevelle is more narrower than a 1968 12 bolt rear end. Is there any truth in this?

Daryl,
It is our understanding that a ’64 – ’67 Chevelle 12 bolt width is 60.50″, while the later ’68 – ’72 width is 61.25″, so yes, the ’67 is narrower.
