1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible Black / Black SOLD $2.25 Million
This amazing 1970 Hemi ‘Cuda Convertible sold over the weekend at the Mecum auction in Monterey. The car is a stunning combination of black / black top / black interior / black stripes, and features a silver shaker hood scoop on top of the 426 Hemi engine. It’s an automatic transmission car, and it is one of the 14 built for ’70. It’s quite a car, and it crossed the block for a cool $2.25 Million. What do you think?08/19/2015 at #6228Mike ClarkeMember
I think I’d be one happy seller if it was me. No doubt Dana Mecum was pleased as punch to see it sell!

I think that’s a crazy amount of money… I can appreciate a low production, very unique car, but still? I doubt that the buyer of this car is the kinda guy that gets grease under his fingernails on the week-end adjusting points & changing plugs or drilling out spot welds to replace a rusty panel with a MIG Wleder plugged into his wife’s dryer circuit!08/26/2015 at #6270Joseph MarconiParticipant
Nice car but I think the 71’s were better looking.08/26/2015 at #627809/24/2015 at #6427Mark La TurnerParticipant
Will it be driven or will it sit hidden away in a collection? I fear it will be the latter now. At that price its stopped being a car and now become highly valuable object.
Seeing a car like this in a museum is great but how much more inspiring would it be to see that car come flying down the road with all the noise and smells and being alive!
Lets hope the owner is a mad fool and uses it!09/24/2015 at #6428
