This is a carb we had rebuilt (restored, more like it) by our friends at Quadrajet Power LLC. It is for an ’81 Turbo Trans Am we had in the shop. Quadrajet Power does really nice work at great prices, and they pay attention to the details. Thanks guys!

A CCC carb, no less. Pretty cool. I remember learning about those in auto shop class in High School. When you turn the key on uou can hear the solenoid inside clicking away waiting for inputs. It’s really amazing the longevity that the quadrajet has enjoyed. A great carb for economy and great performance. Cliff Ruggles has a great book detailing how to rebuild your Q-jet and tune it properly. A really good read.

A well-tuned Q-Jet is tough to beat. I’d like to check that book out (library reference… remember those?) and learn a thing or two! Thanks for sharing!
