Ed Tillrock is an amazing artist, hot rodder, and a great friend of all of us at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop. This month, Ed’s outstanding work is featured on the cover – and inside – the latest CARtoons Magazine! CARtoons is part of the DNA of so many of us who grew up with the passion for cool cars, so it’s great to see Ed’s work in the mix. CARtoons Publisher Marc Methot is also a buddy of ours, and we’re honored to be able to call both of these talented car-guys friends. Our advice is to pick up the latest issue and subscribe to CARtoons as soon as you can so you don’t miss it! And if you’re reading this in the future, CARtoons usually has some back issues in-stock, but there’s no guarantee!

Staying up to speed on the latest technology and automotive training is why we pride ourselves at being the best. Learning the importance of determining lip seal material and whether or not to pre-lube it, along with the science behind an MLS style gasket were among the subjects tackled in this Lunch & Learn session. Strategies on sealant selection and application was also a hot topic. All that over a provided lunch from Garage Gurus.

They really ARE trying to restrict our access to performance parts and our freedom to build a race car. REALLY.
You may have heard of the RPM Act and the fight to protect our rights as racers and performance parts manufacturers. And although it may seem like the process is dragging to pass the RPM Act into law, every law proposed goes through a long series of reviews and approvals before landing on the President’s desk. This Performance Racing Industry video does a great job of comparing the lawmaking process with building a race car! Check it out:
