Nothing goes together like fast cars and rock & roll, and both are celebrated at the Curb Museum for Music and Motorsports and the North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame! We recently took a quick tour of this rich racing and racing museum and just had to share it. How many winning Indy, Nascar, NHRA, and other cars can you spot… and how many artists and songs do you know?

Racing enthusiast, Mike Curb is owner/founder of Curb Records, a label including greats like Wynonna Judd, Hank Williams, Jr., Tim McGraw and a host of stars of tomorrow. Curb has also owned cars driven by NASCAR legends including Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty and Dale Jarrett. See unique rides like LeAnn Rimes’ first car along with the #2 car Dale Earnhardt won his first Winston Cup championship in and the famous #43 car that Richard Petty raced to his 199th victory at Dover. Each storied set of wheels and more than 700 wall displays bring racing and recording industry history to life.

The Curb Museum is housed alongside the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, where you can take a deeper dive into the state’s musical heritage. We recommend it!

Not Songs About Cars, But Songs Tied To Experiences In Cars!

Hot Rods and Rock & Roll obviously exist on this planet for the same reason, and V8 Radio hosts Kevin Oeste and Mike Clarke spend this episode sharing stories of how specific songs left a mark on them because of a tie-in with a particular car.     The fun part is you get to listen along courtesy of the YouTube playlist below, so click the play button and let ‘er fly as Kevin and Mike spin some favorites and share the car-related stories behind the music.   The selections are all over the dial, so hang on for a fun ride!

They say nothing goes together like hot cars and Rock & Roll music, and there was a fantastic theme display at the 2014 Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals that showcased them both!    The "Color My World" display demonstrated the wild array of colors offered in the Muscle Car era, and Patrick Krook was there to show us a new line of G&L Guitars that are painted to match.
