Warehouse Parts Movement and Storage and Shop Assistant
V8 Speed and Resto is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Parts Movement and Storage and Shop Assistant. This dual-role position is crucial to the smooth operation of our shop, ensuring that our technicians have the right parts at the right time. Apply below.
Parts Movement and Storage
Your primary responsibility will be documenting, distributing and storage of all parts within our facility. This includes:
- Filling Parts Requests: Accurately pulling and distributing parts, picking up and delivering those parts to technicians and departments from our parts center.
- Inventory Management: Ensuring all parts are properly labeled, categorized, and stored in their designated locations. You will be responsible for taking photos of parts and logging them into our system for accurate inventory tracking.
- Logistics and Communication: Making decisions about the next location for parts in the workflow and effectively communicating with team leads and technicians to ensure a seamless process.
Shop Assistant
As a Shop Assistant, you’ll provide essential support to the entire team, helping to keep the shop running efficiently. Your duties will include:
- Fulfilling Team Requests: Responding to requests from team members for various items, including water, toiletries, and other shop supplies.
- Material Handling: Gathering materials for technicians, picking up and organizing boxes, and putting away new stock.
- Shop Maintenance: Performing tasks such as draining oil drains and assisting with general shop cleanup.
- Errand Runner: Making runs to local parts stores, our other shop departments and properties, and other locations to pick up materials and supplies as needed.
Requirements
- A strong sense of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Forklift operation
- Previous experience in an automotive or parts environment is a plus, but not required.

Shop hours are 8-5 Monday – Friday (Technician Hours 7AM – 3:30PM optional) – No Weekends
