There seems to be more and more highly talented artists and designers out there creating some awesome work, and this thread is a place to share ’em.

First up is this awesome 2-door 1949 Tucker Torpedo concept by Del Swanson https://delswanson.com/ . Can’t get enough of this one!

What have you seen that you think should be built? Share it here, and try to give the artists credit so they can keep making these for us no-talents to enjoy!

I don’t know if this one is being built, but it sure should be! This is based off a C7 Corvette re-bodied in a retro C3 style, but done with outstanding proportion and style. It was penned by former GM Designer Dave Ross. We can’t stop staring at it, and would love to build a real one!

Here’s another fresh style and tremendous talent. This outstanding Chevrolet C10 rendering was created by Stephanie Isidro Illustration, and we really dig the way Stephanie uses texture and high-contrast color to make the image come to life!

We’ve been fans of Problem Child Kustoms for a long time, and this ’62 Caddy is one that should be built as well. Smash a late CTS-V into the ’62 and you kinda get the idea… a high-powered, tight-handling luxury ride with killer styling.

Here’s one that has us going absolutely wild… it’s a “Doodle” by artist Jeff Allison (Jeff Allison Design and Almost Cool Design.) Combine the awesomeness of Van Halen with a killer custom ’70s van and you’ve got an Eruption! This one NEEDS to be built.. “fer reel!”

OK, It’s no secret I’m partial to Rivieras, but I think this design is cool no matter if you like these cars or not. This is a 1968 or 1969 version, and I really dig the subtle changes. First off, the bumpers have been “tamed”… they are big, heavy chrome megaliths on these cars, and it’s hard to reduce the heft of them without losing the design of the car. Colter O’Dell nailed it on his version.

I also dig the flush rear glass and that he didn’t really stray too far from the original design of the car, but merely enhanced the look. The rendering also has a cool stitched background, suggesting the luxurious interior and the vinyl top treatment, seemingly done in suede! Awesome.

You can read the story on the designer’s mindset on this car at his site here:

This one is a slick ’64 Ford Galaxie rendered in 2 colors for the owner to pick from as his car is being built. The artwork was done by the insanely talented Tavis Highlander, a super-cool guy who is just as capable designing the mechanicals as he is the aesthetics. He also builds wicked lamps!

Love this look! In the weeds with that rear deep dish wheel tucked in like that. That’s a winner all day long.

Our friend Ben Hermance from Hermance Design http://www.hermancedesign.com has created several designs for our V8 Speed & Resto Shop customers over the years, and this ’70 Buick rendering caught our eye.

Says Ben in a Facebook post:

“Very, very buildable car too. Body mods are exclusive to the hood, bumpers, grill insert and the add-on aero parts.”

    Too cool.

I know, I know… we’ve already featured Problem Child Kustoms earlier in this thread, and even a Cadillac. BUT… this one is just too cool not to share. Dig this Eldorado!
