Hydrogen Powered Chevrolet Pickup 2021 SEMA Show Arrington Performance V8TV

This sweet 1949 Chevy pickup is powered by a supercharged LS3 that has been converted to run on compressed hydrogen gas. It’s not a hydrogen fuel cell, but actual compressed hydrogen fed into a converted LS3 V8, producing nearly ZERO emissions. The possibilities are exciting, and builder Arrington Performance plans to have retrofit Hydrogen kits available to convert gasoline powered engines to run on compressed hydrogen for a cleaner environment.

Hydrogen generates about 3 times the power of gasoline, so this particular application is estimated to make over 500 HP of clean power. Video shot on a phone at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV.
