⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just got back from a very nice ride in my beautifully restored Pontiac Trans AM, and I felt compelled to personally email you and your team, to thank you all for the exceptional work put into this car. If you remember our first phone conversation from well over a year ago, I explained that I owned a 77/ TA, and at the time was deeply disappointed in the results of recent work conducted by a so-called “firebird” expert in Springfield Massachusetts. As was evident, they delivered me a car that was incomplete, filled with issues, and certainly far from a finished product I was confident driving, nor was it in any condition that I’d be able to sell in the future with any level of personal integrity. While it was clear that I would need to find another group to rectify the embarrassment, I’m very happy that I found you guys at V8 Speed & Resto Shop!
To give some well due thanks, Joe was very professional and persistent in finally convincing me to send the car out, and although (to kid with him a little) his initial “ballpark” budget estimate was wildly off the final cost total, all things considered I well understand that there were many more bugs and issues revealed during the process. Although it was more than expected, I know that having a car renovated is certainly not for the wary, and the reality is that the classic car restoration business has become a form of art. Possibly industrial art at that, but they’re not making any more 77s. With that being said, the results speak for themselves, and you and your team have truly exceeded all my expectations, and have undoubtedly sent back to me what has to be one of the best examples in the country of a meticulously restored 77 Trans AM Special Edition. From Joe to Brian, Mike, Tracy, Trever, Kelle, and everyone else in the shop that I didn’t get the opportunity to personally speak with, I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with all of you, and thankful for the constant consideration of keeping me informed every step of the way. While I admit that it seemed depressing at times, discovering so many hidden bugs and issues, you did exactly what I wanted and I could not be happier with the final results. This car looks stunning, drives like a dream, and is so perfect that I’m now nervous to take it out for a ride.
It’s kind of ironic, how I was so uncomfortable driving the car before sending it out to you, and now I’m still uncomfortable driving it, but thankfully now for completely different reasons. Although I’ll certainly drive it, the car is genuinely too perfect to take out. With that being said, thank you all for giving me this piece of artwork. It’s truly spectacular!
On a side note, I hope to stop by your shop sometime later this year, and I’ll hopefully get the chance to meet everyone in person, and to talk about a 78 Grand Prix that’s on deck.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brought my 1967 Mustang home today. Between the shop and I, we put 1/2 the miles my old man did in 27 years over 4 months. She runs great again after a 30 year hiatus from sunlight. The team at V8 Speed & Resto is top notch. I dropped the car off after it hadn’t run in 30 years and didn’t need a full rebuild but needed a bunch of work to get it so I could drive it again. They went above and beyond with the service, communication, and cost. Everytime I swung by, was called, or emailed it was a professional experience. On top of that, they were more than happy to host me whenever I came out to see progress. They also loved to share stories and let me see cool (everything there) while I was visiting. This is the only place I’ll bring my 67 Mustang GT convertible for work. Out of shops, I’ve been in lots, this one is rated 100/100. Highly recommend. – G.G.
I originally took my Pontiac to them to get it some final details sorted out from a restoration done at another shop. They did such nice work, I had it back later to get an EFI and and overdrive installed, Top notch!
My 1969 Chevelle SS has had lots of work done by the guys at V8 Speed & Resto shop over the past couple years and it been great, from new engine, suspension and some cosmetic work. I would highly recommend them and plan on using them again in the very near future. – JS
I had my 1979 Firebird Formula at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop last year and they were great. I had a Holley Sniper EFI, new fuel tank, electric fuel pump, and a complete Magna Flow exhaust system installed. They kept me informed on the progress calling me with updates and and always sending me pictures. I would give them a GRADE OF A for the work accomplished by their staff, and would recommend V8 Speed and Resto Shop to anyone wanting there classic cars done right. Huge thank you to the crew at V8 Speed and Custom shop in Red Bud. I had them rebuild the carb, replace the front end, do some custom exhaust work to get the pipes off the ground (they were way low!), and fix my stuck passenger door. Thought you’d like to see the fuel rail covers with 442 emblems. The drivers fit perfectly. Passenger side need trimming around a/c compressor. You can’t really tell though. The car is a big hit with all who see it. Even my friends that thought I was totally screwing up my “original” 442. Everyone gets it now. And they all want to know where I had the work done.
