Each weekend, a radio show airs on KTRS radio “The Big 550” in the St. Louis market called This Week In Classic Cars. The show is presented by It’s Alive Automotive, and this week, hosts Jeff Homsher and Josh Gilbert welcomed V8 Speed And Resto Shop‘s Kevin Oeste to provide some perspective on building modified cars. It’s alive Automotive specializes in sales and correct and original restorations of European sports cars, and owner Jeff Homsher and Kevin Oeste shared how each of their shops handle modifications. We really appreciate the chance to be on the show, and you can click the link below to hear the episode (and other previous episodes) of This Week In Classic Cars, and if you are seeking to purchase or restore a vintage European sports car, reach out to our friends at It’s Alive Automotive!

This Week in Classic Cars

Today we’re setting the wayback machine to November, 2014, where we find the “Mr. Chevy” 1955 Chevy gasser riding on the back of “Carried Away”, it’s personal matching ’55 hauler as they exit the 2014 SEMA Show lighting up the SEMA Cruise on their way out the door. In this shot, SEMA Cruise Emcee Joe Sebergandio fires up the crowd – who was already fired up – as the golden gasser makes a grand exit. “Carried Away” was restored by the V8 Speed and Resto Shop, while “Mr. Chevy” remains as it was when completed back in the late 1960s. You can see the restoration photos and videos of Mr. Chevy at this link. Today, Joe Sebergandio and V8 Speed and Resto Shop’s own Kevin Oeste still have fun hosting the SEMA Cruise… a rolling car show where you truly have no idea what could be rolling by next!

1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda 440 4-Speed Convertible Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals 2022 MCACN

1971 Plymouth ‘cudas are scarce, even more so are the 17 440 convertibles built that year, and this one is one of the hottest! This 1971 ‘cuda convertible features a 440 six-pack V8 engine breathing through a shaker hood, and is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The list of options is long on this car, including front and rear body-colored bumpers, front and rear spoilers, dual color-matched side racing mirrors, leather bucket seats, a Dana rear axle, and much more. We caught up with owner Bob Bartosiewicz after unveiling the freshly restored 1971 440 ‘cuda convertible at the 2022 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show where he shared some of the cool stories behind this amazing muscle car. Would you believe it was ordered new by an FBI agent? Who specified every option except power windows? Bob tells us all about it in this special episode of Muscle Car Of The Week from the 2022 MCACN show!
