This stunning 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback isn’t your average classic muscle car.

Packing a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine from a 2008 Shelby GT500, this restomod is a force to be reckoned with on the road and the track.

Power and Performance Under the Hood

The heart of this beast is the iconic 5.4-liter Shelby GT500 V8 engine, pushing out over 500 horsepower. Paired with a T56 6-speed transmission, this Mustang is built for exhilarating performance.

Upgraded Suspension and Brakes for Precision Handling

For superior handling, the suspension system has been completely revamped with Ridetech tubular components and coilover shocks. Four-corner Baer disc brakes provide exceptional stopping power, while American Racing 200S “Daisy” wheels add a touch of classic muscle car style.

Luxurious Interior with Modern Touches

Step inside the Fastback and you’ll find a custom-crafted interior featuring plush leather-wrapped seats and a custom console. The classic dashboard gets a modern upgrade with Autometer gauges, keeping the driver informed and in control.

Vinyl Wrap Protects the Show-Stopping Finish

One of the most unique features of this Mustang is its exterior. Believe it or not, that stunning finish isn’t paint! The entire car is wrapped in a high-quality vinyl film. This clever choice protects the owner’s investment, allowing them to enjoy pushing this Mustang to its limits on the track without worrying about scratches or damage.

** UPDATE: It’s with heavy hearts that we regret to inform that the owner / caretaker of the 1970 Buick GSX “Prototype” show car Brad Conley has passed. He’s owned this extremely special car since 1978, and it is largely responsible for our host Kevin Oeste’s obsession with Muscle Cars. Please join us in extending our condolences to the Conley family, but also our deepest appreciation to Brad for finding, restoring, and showing this amazing car that touched so many lives.

Most of us have a particular car that left a mark on us, and this Muscle Car Of The Week left a burnout on host Kevin Oeste’s brain like a Buick 455 burning bias ply tires across a slick parking lot. This week, Oeste is united with a childhood dream car, seeing the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 “Prototype” show car in person for the first time at the 2018 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago. It was one of many special moments from the MCACN show, and a great example of why all muscle car fans should attend this amazing event. Special thanks to car owner Brad Conley for the personal tour of the GSX.

Are you familiar with the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation? They are always there for those in the Auto Aftermarket if something bad happens. I had a quick conversation with my good friend Joel Ayres about the foundation and how they are there when you need them. It’s a great operation and worth supporting.

The SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced that the latest Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be officially celebrated on July 14, 2023.  The date marks the fourteenth consecutive commemoration in what is now an annual holiday to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.

Intended since 2010 to celebrate the classics of the past and the future, the U.S. Congress has helped launch CCAD by introducing resolutions each year at the SAN’s request.  This year, the U.S. House of Representatives introduced U.S. House Resolution 573 (H. Res. 573).  The resolution was sponsored by co-chairs of the SEMA-supported Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus.  These Congressional leaders have been strong advocates for the automotive culture in Washington, D.C., and recognize the integral role collector cars have played in fostering our nation’s appreciation for the automobile’s unique historical place in our history.

It’s a perfect opportunity to drive your Classic or Muscle Car to work!

Help promote this special day: post on social media using the hashtag #CCAD and tag the celebration’s Facebook fan page (@CollectorCarAppreciationDayCCAD).

In this special V8 Radio episode, Kevin Oeste chats with Mike Copeland from Arrington Performance about the future of Hydrogen powered cars and performance.   Copeland and the Arrington team have not built several Hydrogen gas powered hot rods, all using current production gasoline burning engines that have been carefully converted to burn Hydro rather than Petro.    Find their latest at @TheArringtonPerformance on Facebook.    Recorded at the 2022 PRI Show in Indianapolis, IN.

1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda 440 4-Speed Convertible Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals 2022 MCACN

1971 Plymouth ‘cudas are scarce, even more so are the 17 440 convertibles built that year, and this one is one of the hottest! This 1971 ‘cuda convertible features a 440 six-pack V8 engine breathing through a shaker hood, and is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The list of options is long on this car, including front and rear body-colored bumpers, front and rear spoilers, dual color-matched side racing mirrors, leather bucket seats, a Dana rear axle, and much more. We caught up with owner Bob Bartosiewicz after unveiling the freshly restored 1971 440 ‘cuda convertible at the 2022 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show where he shared some of the cool stories behind this amazing muscle car. Would you believe it was ordered new by an FBI agent? Who specified every option except power windows? Bob tells us all about it in this special episode of Muscle Car Of The Week from the 2022 MCACN show!
