Hold onto your surfboards and beach umbrellas, because we’re diving headfirst into a restoration project that’s sure to turn heads! We’re thrilled to announce that a stunning 1963 Buick LeSabre Station Wagon mild restomod is rolling into the V8 Speed and Resto Shop for a complete exterior refresh.

Long-Roofs Forever!

These 1960s wagons are the epitome of cool, offering spacious comfort and timeless style. But let’s be honest, even the coolest classics need some love after years on the road. This beauty is no exception, and we’re excited to bring its original shine back to life.

Repainting The LeSabre

The plan? A meticulous repaint in its factory-fresh color will be the star of the show. But that’s not all! We’ll also be meticulously restoring the trim, ensuring every detail gleams like new. We have a few other surprises up our sleeves, but let’s just say this iconic wagon will be ready to cruise in style once again.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring LSA Build at V8 Speed and Resto Shop

1968 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring Build at V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This Pro-Touring 1968 Chevrolet Camaro came to the V8 Speed and Resto Shop wearing fresh paint, but the owner wanted some performance upgrades to match. The task is to install a supercharged LSA engine and a Tremec 6060 6-speed manual transmission, all without hurting the new paint. The V8 crew is also adding all the needed cooling, fuel, and electrical system upgrades required to make it all sing.

Cooling is handled by a C&R Radiator and coolers, and the cabin is cooled by Vintage Air. Under the car lives a full Ridetech coil-over suspension system, with hydraulically boosted Wilwood brakes. Our team is building a full mandrel-bent, custom-fit exhaust system for the car.

Tasks included notching the subframe to fit the LSA and the factory accessory drive system, and fabricating a custom smooth firewall and hydraulic clutch master cylinder mount, fabricating a and custom air intake system. Ringbrothers billet hood hinges support the modified hood, which was re-structured to clear the supercharger housing.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro LS3 Restomod Interior Upgrades and Driving Feature Video V8 Speed & Resto Shop V8TV

1968 LS3 Camaro Upgrades at V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This great looking 1968 Chevrolet Camaro LS3 Restomod came to the V8 Speed and Resto Shop to fix some tuning issues and to have a new custom interior installed. The plan was to modernize the door panels with some Fesler pieces, and custom design and build a center console to house the Vintage Air A/C controls, the power window switches, a pair of stainless cup holders, a double-din audio system, USB power, and the Tremec T56 6-speed shifter.

The V8 Speed and Resto Shop interior department completely designed, built, upholstered, and wired the custom console before installing it in the Camaro. The Fesler door and rear side panels were upholstered in matching black vinyl with a corresponding hounds-tooth insert to match the Camaro’s seats.

Before the car was complete, our team identified that the roof skin was rusty and improperly installed, so the V8 Speed and Resto Shop Fabrication Department went to work removing the old skin, repairing the rust, and installing a new piece. The V8 Speed and Resto Shop Body Shop finished the job and painted the new roof with a black industrial coating, then the Interior Shop installed a new vinyl top.

The LS3 1968 Camaro makes great power, and is a real blast to drive. We’re excited to see this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro rolling down the road, and the owner is looking forward to making more memories on road trips with his restomod Camaro.

RELOADED Camaro Makes Second SEMA Appearance in Rocket Racing Wheels Display

The 1968 Chevrolet Camaro built by the V8 Speed and Resto Shop is rolling on a new set of Rocket Racing Attack wheels, their pro-touring style flow-formed forged wheel debuted at the SEMA Show. Our team was honored to have the RELOADED Camaro make a second SEMA Show appearance, this time in the Rocket Racing display! Courtney Hansen dug the car and the new wheels and who wouldn’t?
