V8 Speed Shows Six Cars, Average Score 993 / 1000
We’re honored to present the V8 Speed & Resto Shop display from the 2024 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals! The cars pictured scored an average of 993 out of 1000 points, including a 997 and 998! Perhaps the best part is that they are all driven, and they represent cars we’ve built over our 20 year history.
Left to right, they were completed in 2010, 2016, 2013, 2012, 2023, and 2019, with the chassis in process now.
Winning Cars On Display:
1969 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster Resto Mod – MCACN debut, The Garage Museum display car, completed 2023 – 993/1000
1968 Chevrolet Camaro “Reloaded” – MCACN veteran, SEMA veteran, 2011 – 988 / 1000

1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS – MCACN debut, Completed 2010 – 982 / 1000
1957 Ford Ranch Wagon Custom – Chassis, 2024 Debut
It’s common for fresh, unused show cars to score high at shows, but when a car finished 11 years ago scores 994, a 9 year old build scores 997, and a 5 year old restoration scores 998, you know the build team paid attention to the details. We’re fortunate for the incredible customer support we receive, for our talented and caring team, and to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals for hosting our display.

We Give A Classic 1957 Thunderbird New Wings
A great way to enjoy a classic car is to upgrade it with a modern engine, transmission, and suspension system for today’s power, performance, and reliability with yesterday’s classic looks. The crew at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop has performed many of these types of conversions, adding reliable power and performance without sacrificing that classic car look. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is a great example of how to completely change the driving personality of a vintage car with today’s technology. The V8 Speed and Resto Shop crew installed a Ford Racing 5.0 Coyote V8 engine backed by a Ford 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission into this clean black Thunderbird.
Bones To Support The Power
But in order to handle the extra power, the V8 Speed and Resto Shop also installed a new performance chassis to add improved suspension geometry, more precise steering, better Wilwood brakes, increased traction, and overall chassis stiffness to the classic T-Bird. We’re also installing a Vintage Air A/C unit, sounds from Custom Autosound, and making some interior upgrades.
