The Triple Crown Of Rodding is a new event that celebrates Hot Rods, Customs, Classics & Muscle Cars up through 1972, AND…. American-Made Trucks through 1998!

The Triple Crown of Rodding is going to be a hot rodder’s paradise.

Enter your ride to compete for the coveted Triple Crown award! They will be presenting over 40 State-Of-The-Art, Beautifully Machined, Billet Aluminum, show chrome plated trophies to the 6 Triple Crown Winners…Best Street Rod, Best Street Machine, Best Street Cruiser, Best Truck (up to 1972), Best Truck (73-87). Best Truck (88-98)!

The top (3) cars will be featured on the cover of Modern Rodding magazine and the Top (3) Trucks on the cover of Classic Truck Performance magazine with full inside features on all 6.

1966 Dodge Coronet Convertible Maintenance at V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This clean yellow 1966 Dodge Coronet convertible arrived at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop in need of some maintenance and TLC to make it a reliable and fun cruiser. It’s got a 383 under the hood, fed by a F.A.S.T. EFI system, and it spins an automatic transmission. The cool part is that this is a family heirloom car that has been passed to the current generation, and will always remain in the family. The owner’s parents had a ’66 Coronet like this one brand new, and recaptured those memories when they purchased this one a few years back. Today, their children and grandchildren are excited to enjoy the car and continue the legacy.

1949 Oldsmobile Sedan Delivery Upgrades at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This cool 1949 Oldsmobile is powered by the original 303 Rocket Oldsmobile V8, but is wearing a smooth custom look with a lowered stance, vintage green exterior, and fully a finished interior. The 1949 Oldsmobile joined Cadillac as the second American automaker to mass produce an overhead valve V8 engine, and this version remained in production until 1953. The V8 Speed and Resto Shop team aims to make the car more enjoyable to drive all day long, installing power steering, air conditioning, disc brakes, cruise control, tilt wheel, and perhaps some seat upgrades as well. Fuel injection might be in the cards, we’ll post all the pictures and videos here so you can follow the progress of this unique resto-mod street rod… is that a “Street Mod?” Hmmm…

1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda 440 4-Speed Convertible Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals 2022 MCACN

1971 Plymouth ‘cudas are scarce, even more so are the 17 440 convertibles built that year, and this one is one of the hottest! This 1971 ‘cuda convertible features a 440 six-pack V8 engine breathing through a shaker hood, and is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The list of options is long on this car, including front and rear body-colored bumpers, front and rear spoilers, dual color-matched side racing mirrors, leather bucket seats, a Dana rear axle, and much more. We caught up with owner Bob Bartosiewicz after unveiling the freshly restored 1971 440 ‘cuda convertible at the 2022 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show where he shared some of the cool stories behind this amazing muscle car. Would you believe it was ordered new by an FBI agent? Who specified every option except power windows? V8 Speed and Resto Shop is hiring a skilled Automotive Mechanic Technician specializing in the construction, repair, modification, and restoration of classic and Muscle Cars.

This position requires knowledge and experience repairing classic cars, restoring mechanical parts, installing performance parts and upgrades, all the way up to complete restoration and custom car creation.

Knowledge of engines, suspension systems, fuel systems, carburetors, engine tuning, brake systems, general diagnostics and repair, air conditioning systems, automotive wiring and charging systems, and more is required.
