This cool yellow 1968 Oldsmobile 442 looks great, but the owner wanted better handling, braking, and comfort, while adding more reliable power and a smoother shifting transmission to the car without sacrificing the classic look. The solution is the installation of at Roadster Shop chassis and an LS3 V8, hooked to a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission. Follow along as we make the upgrades!

1947 Dodge Pickup EFI 4.0 Jeep Engine Swap and 5 Speed Manual Conversion at V8 Speed & Resto Shop
This clean 1947 Dodge pickup truck came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop after the new owner discovered that the old Dodge just didn’t have the oats to keep up with modern traffic on the highway. He wanted to be able to drive his new rig wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted, so a plan was developed to re-power the Dodge and retire the original flathead engine.
Follow the entire restoration process taken by the V8 Speed and Resto Shop crew to bring this timeless Chevelle back from the edge of it’s life. Starting with 3 cars, the crew utilized thousands of new reproduction parts, restored originals, and today’s high-tech methods and materials to transform a scrap pile into a show winner.
