Congrats to our friend Al on another car show victory with his ’69 Chevelle! It seems every time he takes it out he brings home some kind of award. This time, it was a Street Stock / Modified Gold Award at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago! He’s also taken First Place at The Hill Car Show in St. Louis, People’s Choice at the Waterloo Optimist Club Car Show in IL, and many other Best Paint, First In Class, and People’s Choice Awards at shows all around. Way to go Al, your Chevelle is one of the favorites we’ve restored here at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop!

Here, Kelle and Mike Ring take a few moments to go over "Recoil" and point out the extensive body modifications, design elements, and the 1000 horsepower driveline!

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Complete Restoration at V8 Speed & Resto Shop

The V8 Speed and Resto Shop crew performed a complete restoration on this sweet 1969 Chevelle SS. The V8 Speed & Resto Shop team stripped the body, replaced the floors and trunk floor, assembled the body on the restored chassis, and performed bodywork and paint on this award-winning 1969 Chevelle.

The team completed the wiring, plumbing, brakes, stainless exhaust, interior, and all aspects of the exterior restoration before driving and tuning the Chevy 454 powered Chevelle. The car won awards at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago, and was later treated to a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission swap for more driving fun.
