The V8 Speed & Resto Shop team is honored to have two 1969 Camaros on display at the amazing “Summer Of ’69” 1969 Camaro display at the 2019 Goodguys Rod & Custom Association PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio! The event is hosting some of the most iconic and significant 1969 Chevrolet Camaros ever, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the always-popular ’69 Camaro. The V8-built supercharged LSA powered “Lou’s Change” pro-touring Camaro and the COMP Cams 454 LSX Camaro convertible will both be on hand, and we couldn’t be more excited for the owners and our team as well. It’s a tremendous honor to be included in such an amazing display, and even more-so to have the opportunity to these build awesome cars for great customers. 1969 Pontiac Firebird Carb and Dyno Tune at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a very good looking car, and it was restored nearly entirely by the owner. It features a Pontiac 455 and a 6-speed manual transmission, with some suspension, brake, and wheel upgrades to make it drive as well as it looks. He brought us the car to dial-in the Quadrajet carburetor and tune it on the dyno. We completed a performance tune to make it run its best! 1971 Pontiac Firebird E-85 Conversion and Suspension Upgrades at V8 Speed & Resto Shop

This wicked 1971 Pontiac Firebird is wearing a deep blue flame job, but the owner felt it needed more fire under the hood. He sent the car, a T56 5-speed transmission, and a fresh E-85 burning 468 cube Pontiac stroker to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop to install to fix all that. The new mill runs at 11.4:1 compression thanks to the alcohol in E-85, which is the best fuel the owner can get in his neighborhood. 1961 International Metro Delivery Van Chassis Swap at the V8 Speed and Resto Shop

This is something you don’t see every day… a 1961 International Harvester Metro A120 delivery van! Our friend is going to use it as a Bartoli’s Pizza delivery vehicle in Chicago, so we are going to make it easier to drive and change the look to match his restaurant. The V8 Speed and Resto Shop team swapped out the original chassis and 220 cubic-inch 6 cylinder engine in favor of a modern Chevrolet Tahoe for a donor chassis and driveline. It’s a super cool truck with a purpose!

1972 Ford Bronco 5.0 Coyote Restomod Build at V8 Speed & Resto Shop Video

The V8 Speed & Resto Shop recently completed a modern 5.0 Coyote V8 swap into a 1972 Ford Bronco that was brought to us as a restored truck. Now, the restomod Bronco runs much stronger and is more reliable thanks to the Ford Performance 5.0 Coyote V8 engine swap and upgraded Dakota Digital Gauges. The V8 Speed and Resto Shop conversion also included installing a custom mandrel bent Magnaflow exhaust system and high-pressure fuel system to run the Coyote engine.

Now that the 2021 Ford Bronco has been revealed, it’s fun to show how early Ford Broncos can be retrofitted with modern Coyote V8 engines and technology to make the classic Ford Bronco perform like the new 2021 Bronco.

This time, it was scoring 994/1000 in the Street Stock / Modified Gold class at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago! He’s also taken First Place at The Hill Car Show in St. Louis, People’s Choice at the Waterloo Optimist Club Car Show in IL, and many other Best Paint, First In Class, and People’s Choice Awards at shows all around.
